James Stretchberry is a highly experienced leader with extensive directorship history and a broad array of accomplishmentsupporting nonprofit communities. Since 2002, Mr. Stretchberry continues to serve as President and CEO for AEBM, Inc. (American European Bethel Mission Incorporated) at their International Headquarters in Santa Barbara. www.aebm.info 

Mr. Stretchberry was previously the Assistant Pastor for Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara (1991-2002). From 1978-1990, Mr. Stretchbarry was President and CEO for Seton School for the Developmentally Disabled in Santa Barbara, and served as Chairman of the Board for Seton School Foundation (1980-1990). He was CEO and Partner at First Western Systems, Inc. (1972-1977) and Cost Accountant for Highway Projects at Haskell Construction Company, Inc. (1969-1972). 

Born in Enghien Les Bains (France) 1947, Mr. Stretchberry has since traveled to 93 countries and lived in Europe, Australia, and the United States (1965-present). He attended boarding schools in Naples-Italy, Casablanca-French Morocco, Long Beach, and Ballarat-Australia. Mr. Stretchberry’s educational background includes schooling at St. Patrick’s College, Melbourne University, Syracuse University, UCSB, Cal State Northridge, and Trinity College. Mr. Stretchberry also served in the United States Air Force for three years, including 19 months in Vietnam.   

James Stretchberry was awarded Kiwanis Man of the Year in 1985, PAL Citizen of the Year in 2013, and he received the Rotary Paul Harris Award in 2015. His affiliations and other involvements include Police Activities League (PAL) 2002-Present, Bishop High School Advisory 1981-Present, Santa Barbara Police Foundation 2012-Present, Providence Christian School 2004-Present, Calvary Prep School 2007-Present, Join Up International 2014-Present, Network Medical 2004-Present, Rotary (President 2016) 2007-Present. 

After having been appointed as Trustee three times in the past, James Stretchberry currently manages a conservatorship for one person. Jim and his wife, Pat, have been married for 42 years and have three daughters: Sarah (32), Hannah (35) and Elizabeth (deceased). Mr. Stretchberry’s extra interests include cricket, cooking, hunting, fly fishing, gardening, reading, teaching, writing, and classical music.
